CCR&Rs, administer the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) which helps income-eligible parents who are in school or working to pay for child care.
Located in every county, CCR&Rs have trained staff to provide information on the:
- Availability of child care services provided through the Child Care Assistance Program;
- Different types of child care providers; and
- Other social service programs for which you may be eligible.
CCR&Rs also:
- Administer the Family Child Care Registration Program and other initiatives designed to improve the quality of child care services;
- Manage the child care assistance program for: low- to moderate-income working families, families seeking self-sufficiency and participating in Work First New Jersey (WFNJ), children under the supervision of the Department of Children and Families (DCF), children being cared for by relatives (Kinship Care) and children needing child care before/after Department of Education (DOE) preschool services in designated School Districts; and
- Provide training and technical assistance to child care providers.
