NJ Family Care/Medicaid
Pregnant Women
- NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid provides health care coverage for pregnant women who live in New Jersey and who are either U.S. Citizens or lawfully present immigrants.
- To qualify for NJ FamilyCare, the total family income must be at or below 205% of the Federal Poverty Level. For a family of 4, that is $5,493 a month (2025 guidelines).

New Jersey Supplemental Prenatal and Contraceptive Program (NJSPCP)

The New Jersey Supplemental Prenatal and Contraceptive Program (NJSPCP) is run by NJ FamilyCare. NJSPCP is a limited-benefit program. It provides prenatal and family planning services to women who do not qualify for NJ FamilyCare because of their immigration status. NJSPCP does not provide complete healthcare coverage, such as hospital visits or labor and delivery.
